"Would-Be, Dick Head Poets"

(A "Punk" Poem For dick head poets of Weston-super-mare)    
   
Yesterday was poets day    
how i laughed    
we celebrate the likes of    
Becket, Byron and Hemingway?    
once again i laugh.    
   
Now i have never considered myself a "poet"    
for a start i have a job, i cant spell for shit  
and i still have all my teeth.    
i maintain the fact i write witty ditty's    
and sublime rhymes.    
   
Dick head poets came out in force    
the usual suspects present of course    
Dick head poet #1 orders a round of drinks    
...for himself    
while dickhead poet #2    
buys himself a card 49p from Tesco.    
he actually bought himself a card!!!!    
   
Pretentious, precious,,    
hidden behind a mask,    
question?    
how can you write a poem    
with head so far up your ass?    
   
i raise a glass to the unpublished,    
the edge, the new breed,    
Wake up, take a look around    
everyone is sick of eating "verbal stew"    
and if your offended?       
well you must be a dickhead too.
