Seeing eye to eye

At times we mightn't see eye to eye
At times we make each other cry
And still there are times when I confuse
yet it's with you this life I chose
Through many a day we have come so far
Bound to each other like an earth and star
You are my rock although I rarely say
You are my friend come what may
And when i get cranky and sulky
You are always there to make me see
That together we are one
No matter what each others done
Apart we are just a half
Lost and lonely on a strange path
So please accept my special gift
And give your heart a little lift
It's because I love you so
That with this gift I hope to show
