What's on my mind

I went to the gym and felt the rust
Of not being there in over a week
It's like some of my muscle turned to dust
Rebuilding is a challenge I shall seek

On vacation at Ocean city
It's in Maryland, I had a lot of fun and now have a tan
Seems like every beverage is like 3.50
I come home with just pennies in my can

Arcade games and good food
The ocean breeze felt so good
Even had some drinks, which always improves my mood
I would not stay another day extra even if I could

As we all now know I'm low on money
At least for now I am always on a budget
To spend it all in one week is kinda funny
Due to the fact I am a tight wad who saves every nugget

Tomorrow i will be back at work soon
Yet I am dreading the day
As the sun goes up and earlier I did see the moon
To pass time I must go back Thursday

My room is now clean
Unpacked all my things and prizes
The most organized I ever seen
Barely anyone ever realizes

Next week I am heading there again
To visit someone special who is there for the summer
Tuesday evening is when
The waiting game is a bummer

I now remember I am a DJ this Saturday
At a friends party, should be fun
We will all be rocking the night away
Preparation has already begun

Today I have some things to do
Groceries and picking up some of our dogs from the vet
Always busy indeed so true
Some of the dogs went on the trip, with some regret

So many other things I want to do this week
Tennis, movies and golf as a possibility
Another seven crazy days I wish to seek
Never stopping to enjoy anything, do you see?

Oh yes I forgot my camera is broken
It still takes pictures the screen though is cracked
Smashed by a shaving cream can, anger is awoken
Common sense in this situation I lacked
