Miles away

The pool is not so far
Oh look a shooting star
Put put course is so near
A trail shall quickly appear

At the camp ground
With only a few campers around
Friday I was on a paddle boat
Remembering the sounds from a bull frogs throat

Ah the clear blue sky
Swatting at a passing fly
Tree's that surround
Ant's that are crawling all around

Soon to the arcade
To continue the ticket raid
In a 30 foot camper for the rest of the vacation week
For peace and fun to seek

I was with my girl friend until Friday
Now the second half of the trip begins today
The atmosphere has changed
A schedule rearranged

Solid yet it feels incomplete
No repetition to repeat
The chains are broken, for now I am free
Less stress to a degree

On vacation I drift away
To a emotional state I'd rather stay
Yet it never seems to last long
Beginning and ending like a song
