Kaleidoscope
As an artist, there's nothing I find more beautiful than the arrangement of complementary colors
As an abstract artist, distortion and unique collages of complex composition never fail to peak my interest
I find it fascinating the emotion something as simple as colored glass can bring forth in a person
How thought provoking an image of unordinary assemble can be to certain in depth individuals
Wether it cause nostalgia, philosophical inspiration, or simply appreciation for anothers creative process
I think I'm going off topic...
Kaleidoscopes..
As extraordinary as one may seem, in the end all it really is is mirrors reflecting light off colored objects creating the illusion of multi colored symmetrical patterns
I remember as a small child being enchanted by such whimsical embellishment
Trying to grasp hold of the shapes my altered perception was consumed by
I also recall my little "adventure" taken with 2.c.e. provided with a chemically imbalanced vision of a constant representation of fireworks
Only that time, I wasn't bound by the restriction of a plastic toy, or by the shades of anothers choice
It was like my peripheral vision had miraculously become tattooed with a diagonal rainbow of... Well kaleidoscope shapes
Only the colors.. It was every pigment imaginable as one, red would morph into green, yellow would slide into purple, and so on and so forth
No matter how many raves, how many light shows I'm exposed to, nothing will ever compare the amount of wonder I was enthralled by that night
Yet hear I sit, peering into the magic of a cylindrical tube
Trying to find my thoughts lost in it's visualization
Pondering over who I am, what I've done, where I'll be
Contemplating over religious affairs, government self conspiracies, the state of humanity as a whole (as a neanderthal race)
Entranced by art, compelled by the passionate overall evaluation of my life and what's becoming of it, wether I'm finding clarity or my own concluded bullshit
All this self reflection from nothing more than captivated sentiment and a prolonged glance into my younger siblings kaleidoscope
