I heard the words before
And they were just them, --words spoken
I once felt your love in the depths of me
It was as if I was baptized from sin
Then --your words had meaning
Every day suddenly I started to count
Even the moments that were spent silent
They all began to amount

Time caught up with us
As we became like them
All the right things said to be said
Once we believed there to be no end
The words again flowing off soft lips
Yet this time the eyes have become black

Yet with every word spoken
Every blink with the eyes made
I fall further from the truth
Once again true love is delayed
