Little Cousin
Your eyes are wide and periwinkle blue,
Your curls are golden ringlets,
That blossom gently around your round face,
Soft pink petal lips form a happy smile,
Brightening up all the surroundings,
Your laugh like the twinkle of bells,
Chiming in the warm summer breeze.
Cherish your childhood my little friend,
I can tell already you won't make the same mistakes I did,
Still, good luck, sweet cousin of mine,
I'll take your small short fingers in mine,
We'll take a walk just me and you,
I'll tell you a little story that starts with once upon a time,
And ends in happily ever after.
