dehydration
walking
never stopping
dehydrated
i cannot swallow
like a desert in my mouth
trying to crack open a cactus
trying to spit
listening
a steady beat
my sense are all twisted up
(like a tree with too much water and no sunlight)
my eyes are deaf
my mouth is blind
my ears are mute
but my nose can smell
helping me taste
wood
not just wood
burning wood
if only my mouth wasn't blind
if only i could scream
i could yell
get this evil expelled from my temple
relax into a comfortable sanctuary
contact my brain
stop walking
but then i start to fall
deeper
and
deeper
into my death.
