Dear Daughter
If I could make a wish for you
I would wish that you chase your dreams
I would wish that you would climb any mountain, break down any wall, if it means you accomplish what you want most.

True Love Discovered
One moment
One moment was all it took
The test came back positive
My life changed forever
In one moment
Nine months later
I hold you while you sleep
Awake with the moon
Exhausted
So....exhausted
But your perfect face
Hand crafted by the gods
Your hair, tickles my arm
Like the wind dances upon my skin
Your eyes
So bright
Full of wonder
Full of light
Your lips
Part slightly as you dream
Your ears
So tiny hear everything
10 perfect fingers

I want to scream,
I want to yell from the mountain tops,
expelling from me the pain
the pain that you bestowed upon me
not with my permission,
I want to stand upon the highest tower
I want to feel the anger that stirs deep inside my soul
be released...
be released upon the rest of the world
let the anger pour out like words left unspoken.
I am tired of feeling like this,
feeling so obsessed,
like the only way to release what I am feeling
is to wage a war against myself

Wheredo i begin, you ripped open my body and stole what belonged to me. You stole my innocence. You stole my self-worth. You took from me what could never be reclaimed. My label as 'someone who has never been raped' i went from the three of four girls to the one out of four girls who will be raped within their lifetime.
But this isn't about you anymore, this will not be about you, this will be about me.
I am angry. I have unresolved gut-wrenching issues because of what YOU did to ME. Don't tell me everything happens for a reason, because there is no reason for anyone to go through...

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

Carousal
waves crashing in
submersing all in its path,
overtaking my life
similar to the way death conquers all,
barely breathing
yet my heart manages to keep beating,
when does the world stop
when can i get off,
this carousel never stops spinning
and life never stops turning,
in these moments of despair
when I can't find a reason to care,
I remember why
because dying is easy
it's life that is hard.

Beautifully Painfully Honest
Scars reach for the ground like lightning striking home.
A busted can of biscuits falling to the floor
20 years of abuse, misuse, and neglect
causing tears to run
and eyes evade.
How can someone love something so terribly beautiful?
Stretch marks measuring the number of times I've created love,
little balls of love hiding away for months
until finally delivered after hours of pain,
into this cruel world of political dispute,
gender roles,
and beauty standards.
Unable to live up to them
despite the starvation of...

Let's Be Honest
Writing, typing, expressing, feeling.
Never really saying anything at all.
Screeching words and bleeding thoughts.
Mask is fading,
Truth is cascading
around us all
Too plugged in to pay attention.
We are killing each other in the streets,
We are trying to discover the new big thing.
Bombs are flying,
people are dying.
Can't you hear me?!
Reading the events but who really cares?
Didn't you see Kendell Jenner's new hair?
We own NAKED and Sephora
Bugatti and Lambos
Got the hottest mixed tape.

And search....unafraid.

The slightly misunderstood
The invisible. I call you to the table of life
Drink the words unspoken but highly discussed
And know you are not alone
Search for a new beginning
Search for a new life
We shall provide a welcoming grasp
Drink from the wisdom we provide and allow yourself to be blindly led
They call this game politics.
