The heart is breaking

A heart break can never be expected
Sure u can expect the speech “it’s not working”
or wait for the rejection and a no in your face,

but the curse that follows is never expected
only when u have lost them
u can see how much they meant
funny because u the realise the impact
which has been bestowed upon u
and then it is too late

it is impossible to prepare for a heartbreak
if u truly love someone

the irony speaks for its self.
Only when love is so strong
the scar is at its biggest

and it pains when u think back
to the good memories, u feel it
it will never truly heal

it is as if I’m still clinging on to those days of fantasy
allowing myself to be broken open again

sadly I’m  left to realise
that I’m not ready to say good bye
