Blackened Ice
echoes freeze
slapped away
by the hostile breeze
can't hear a thing
as I fall to my knees
completely blinded
all I see
is an infinity of black
I try to scream
but webbings
of ice so dark
weaving through my lungs
a heightened pain
bitingly sharp
tearing away at me
from the inside
unable to run
unable to hide
my skin feels so cold
that it actually burns
a power so old
so ancient in it's roots
keeping me alive
so that it can
keep torturing me
again and again
I should feel nothing by now
I should be long gone
the blackened ice
so evil and so cold
still has me
in it's crushing hold
and so preserved I lay
helpless and gray
as I am forever in agony
the blackened ice
so cold, so cruel
halting my breath
for eternity
slapped away
by the hostile breeze
can't hear a thing
as I fall to my knees
completely blinded
all I see
is an infinity of black
I try to scream
but webbings
of ice so dark
weaving through my lungs
a heightened pain
bitingly sharp
tearing away at me
from the inside
unable to run
unable to hide
my skin feels so cold
that it actually burns
a power so old
so ancient in it's roots
keeping me alive
so that it can
keep torturing me
again and again
I should feel nothing by now
I should be long gone
the blackened ice
so evil and so cold
still has me
in it's crushing hold
and so preserved I lay
helpless and gray
as I am forever in agony
the blackened ice
so cold, so cruel
halting my breath
for eternity
