If I could I would
if I could I would
read every single poem of yours
and everything you've ever written
find out every single thought you ever had
and discuss it with you
comment on everything
even the dark stuff
talk to you all day and all night
and be around you always
hold your hands and smile at you
embrace you and make love to you
then cum for you over and over again
and have you cum for me over and over again
never leave your side and never have you leave mine
never be angry with each other and have disagreements
make love in heart mind and soul and stay happily together forever after in real life...

Yes. Absolutely the type of lover most of us wish for. I could have added more "if I could I would's" but always only have a limited time to indulge in poetry sites. :)

Sounds like you are in love... But there is a hint of sadness behind the "If I could" because it suggests that you cannot do these things. Perhaps it is just a matter of time and distance. Internet relationships are filled with yearning... jj

You are completely right on with everything you said, and your insights never cease to amaze me.
Some of the things I mentioned are technically possible while others are not. It all will depend on how we interact with each other in the future I suppose. In the meanwhile I'm still yearning...

I missed my calling, I should have been a psychiatrist... But being a vastly intelligent, kind and caring poet isn't such a bad thing... lol!!! jj

yes if I could I would <3
All of that wonderful beauty contingent upon being able to love; something you seem to think yourself incapable of. And yet, you show every capacity right here, except for the final ingredient, trust, the point of emotional availability. What would that take? I would like to hear a part 2 of this poem: The Bridge to Trust.
Someone, whoever is able to gain that trust, is in for a wonderfully giving relationship.

I am curious to know which part of the poem makes you think the protagonist thinks herself incapable of love. From my point of view she has every capacity to love but as you pointed out trust is an issue especially for people who have been hurt a lot. Perhaps they both have trust issues from being hurt and need to learn to fully trust in their love for one another so they can build their bridge to trust and love.

I really hear that...and I want to see the context that way.....maybe I still see this line as showing a self-limitation and I need to see past that......I will work on the idea of it....thanks...

I see what you are saying now about the perceived limitation of "if I could I would." To me it is more along the lines of both of them making themselves completely available to each other so their love can blossom. So I don't see it as a limitation but a more of a hopeful view that they will work independently on their own issues and then come together to enjoy the unmatched love they have for one another.

I don't normally like pulling petals off of flowers so... great read. However the sentiment about comments is apt. It takes a few seconds to read and enjoy such a poem. It takes an age to think of and formulate a comment.

Thank you for your comment. I happen to agree with you and it makes me happy that you chose words like "velvet" and "lovely softness" to describe it.
