Refusal and denial
That’s all I’m asking for
Yet I’m aware more is to come.
Cringing with loathe
I hide from others
I’m not worth befriending.
My intentions are unclear
I would not know how
To recognize your acceptance of me.
A nameless look on your face
Always present and there
I wish I could read your mind.
From your silence
An assumption is made
I’ll rust away in the moon’s shade.
