Wishes

I remember when
you would tell me stories of your childhood
and tried to help me ease the pains of mine .
Sometimes I get so caught up in a memory I forget .
One minute my heart is aching and leaking crimson tears of sorrow .

The next I'm laughing in a memory
but the laughter soon fades
when I remember how you left me
Unintentional , yes
You were like my legs ,
without you I could not stand

And now I am left paraplegic .
I miss you .
Death was so imminent
You were taken so fast

One minute in my arms ,
the next out of grasp
when I see you lingering in my dreams
I cant wait till my death comes
so we can be reunited

I wish you where here
But there is no other way .
so im left here stuck in this unkind world
leaking crimson tears
with wishes of you being here
