Welcome Home
The hollow ache
That's been tugging
Under my ribs,
Now shows me I'm
Dead inside.
I'm terrified,
As this darkness gets so
Thick. I soon can
Taste it as it chokes me.
I feel myself begin to fade
To the waves underneath
The shadowed world.
I want to fall deeper and deeper
To land in a place where I'm not all alone.
The wet rusty copper taste pools
In my throat. The only voice I hear
Greets me like an old friend.
All he says is
"Welcome home"...
