I am the Hatter
I'm the one who people say,
Walk all through the night and day.
I'm the hatter, so it seems,
That I am the devil of her dreams.
I'm the one who hurt dear Alice,
By giving her the hardly poisoned chalice.
Poor Alice was knocked out cold,
While all the catastrophe was to unfold.
Finger-pointing had ensued,
Whilst I bid them all adieu
None had ever thought to suspect,
That the one who'd done it was cold ask heck.
Yes, my heart's cold as ice,
But that always helped with their demise.
Miss Alice wasn't the first victim of mine,
In fact she was the fourth or fifth time.
You see, I'm not just the hatter,
I'm a criminal mastermind.
Not once have I been suspected or caught,
So I've always been floating aloft.
I caused her head to swell, the red queen's of course,
She damned me to hell.
I've also given Cheshire cat,
The ability to disappear like *that*
It's true that my friend the Hare has an addiction to tea,
But I slipped in some morphine, yes that's me.
Don't take me as a normal hatter, for this I am sure.
For I am not even pure.
I'm surely a hatter who does many things,
makes the hats and polishing the rings.
But I also must break people in,
So they may learn the curse of their sin.
That's the plus side of this job,
It all works for me in the end.
None can replace myself as a hatter,
And this is much true,
I am much madder.
