Wasting Minutes
Tic toc, tic toc
That stupid clock
Reminds me to live
Not just,
But forcefully give
My all, everyday without lack
Of hesitation
Without always looking back
Clock so easily forgotten
Aggravated at it and me
At the multiple self I've been
Only living in the same
Lame game
Time keeps on ticking
Urging.. Wake up!!
But it's just clicking
Why can't I burst this bubble
So suffocating
Needing to change and discover
Perhaps one day I'll get
What I need,
That clock shoved down my throat
Pulsing within
Hopefully I'll be somewhere remote
Not wasting a single minute.
That stupid clock
Reminds me to live
Not just,
But forcefully give
My all, everyday without lack
Of hesitation
Without always looking back
Clock so easily forgotten
Aggravated at it and me
At the multiple self I've been
Only living in the same
Lame game
Time keeps on ticking
Urging.. Wake up!!
But it's just clicking
Why can't I burst this bubble
So suffocating
Needing to change and discover
Perhaps one day I'll get
What I need,
That clock shoved down my throat
Pulsing within
Hopefully I'll be somewhere remote
Not wasting a single minute.

Great poem and energy. I too hate the tick toc of the stupid clock. One of today's added stresses.

Time is funny. We want it to speed up, slow down, pause and rewind. We want all these things and yet we have no control over time, only what we do with it. I really liked this, SB! Such a good write! Thanks for sharing!

socialbutterfly,
I hope you've located the Delorean and found the clock tower...it's almost time to burst that bubble! Enjoyed the time trip. See you on the other side ; )

Nice poem. "Perhaps someday I'll get what I need." Let me suggest that what you need is already there, inside you. You say as much when you say: "Wake up."

We can't escape time. But it is how you perceive it and use it which will determine who is the slave and who is the master.

We are the Master of our own paths.

In my experience, the older one gets the more reminders of how time is passing grate.
