Dare To Dream

You know you're screwed up when you're too afraid to dream
When the stars in your sky are further than they seem
When you're stuck in a world of realities and limitations
when thinking outside the box is no longer a temptation

When the idea of "no limitations" is too much to bare
when the words that "they" utter begin to take effect,to scare
To scare you from living,dreaming and feeling
"Because my dear you're just not good enough"and this is the fate that they are dealing

For these fears that I have,who do I blame?
Do I blame  them?No that would just be a shame
Because the truth,from which we're all running,will drive us insane
we have no one but ourselves to blame for this pain

So forgive me for giving in,but this is just how my story ends
A crossroad at which regrets become my dearest friends
Because the truth is I am afraid to dream
Because the stars in my sky,are further than they seem.
