Light Through Shadows
A silhouette is the sun's best friend
He hides her from the world, gives her time to mend
For this girl, her heart has been broken
her life has been shaken, her lungs about to cave in
Her heart starts to race and her brain is overwhelmed with fear
she holds her silhouette neer to hide the tears
But the sunlight shines through this fragile glass
she is beutiful in contrast to the darkness that surronds her
She keeps her secrets close but her past even closer
she cannot let it slip out of her grasp
Everyone wants to feed of her to clasp to her warmth and
never let go, she says no, she can't
It is too much for her to take in
Fear is the only thing clear and echoes of laughter down the coblestone streets is the only thing she can hear
She listens more and remembers her past, the feeling of happiness and the warmth of his arms around her
