A Borrowed Knife

Blurs of colors flash.
Murmurs haunt me from the past.
They reach for me and pull me down.
As I try and make a dash.
Though I already know,
There no turning back now.
The monster is already pulling me down...

Swallowed by crisp darkness,
I can finally see,
All along,
The monster,
Really was,
Just the darker side of me.
The Dark Side holds my innocent hand tight.
"Please follow me into this luscious night!"
She leads me through the streets,
Where cold dark people we meet.
Until we both collapse.
Tired, warn, and beat.
"The road of life..."
Babbled I stare at her.
"It going on for F***ing ever!",
I yell.
,"How do we survive?"
"It's easy..." She mumbles.
"It's with this simple knife."
She holds out a blade.
Her brown hair moves ever so slight,
As she prowls closer,
Bringing with her a new light.
"Shh, don't cry,
let your angel help you."

She sweetly sighs.
I fall into her arms,
As she grabs my wrist,
And gives it a long bite.
Wonderful red rose petals fly,
Dripping down until I stop my cries.
"Don't you feel better?"
"Yes...I do..." Was my all too simple reply.
"Now continue down this road of life,
And call me when,
You'd like to borrow my knife."
