Jungle Justice

Beaten to pulps
Stripped for stealing phones and laptops
Weak in pains they layed
Tyres like pendants hanging around their necks

Four tertiary students
At the mercy of a blood thirsty community
Ready to pass judgment on them
Helplessly they watched and waited for their untimely end

And all the while the whole community's watching
Has the life of a man suddenly become so valueless?
Where's the police at times like this?
Injustice captured proudly in videos and pics

My own question is this;
If these people really frown at theft
Then why not unleash their anger on the old politicians that has ended us in this mess?
They rather honor and adore them

Maybe judgment is only for small thieves
Why the major players in the theft game are seen as chiefs
Respected by authorities
Even by those they rob

Agreeably those boys were thieves
Even though they were never arraigned before any court of law to support that accusation
Don't they deserve their right to be heard?
Talk more of their rights to life

Brutally beaten with sticks and clubs
Under the watchful eyes of other youths, fathers and moms
Later the fuel was supplied
Strike the match and four able-bodied boys were on fire

Stripped, beaten and burnt to death for stealing phones and laptop
My heart stopped...
Momentarily when I saw the video
I couldn't withstand the shock

The international community must hear this
The world must react to this
It happened in port harcourt city in Nigeria
Its not just enough to cry fowl about moral decay
All hands must be on deck without delay

How many families have been made eternal sadists?
How long will their families bear a trauma like this?
I bet your heart will shatter to pieces
If you're unfortunate enough to see this jungle justice
