A MAN WHO CAN
A man who can make a woman happy
In bed is my most sought-after chappie,
Someone who considers my needs, as his,
Who’ll touch the right places with hands and kiss,
Pouring reverent compliments from his lips -
No cheek about my age, weight, breasts or hips;
Who’s able to say I look good naked
With moving candour that can’t be faked;
Takes time to arouse, waits for me to come
Warm into his arms, then we become one,
Taking me to a place of great ecstasy
And asking afterwards how was it for me.
If I find that man, I am his to ride -
If FIRST he proposes and makes me his bride.
Bigamists, adulterers, love cheats, you’re
Totally unwelcome to darken my door.
Yes, I'd love to be in Seventh Heaven
But NOT by breaking Commandment Seven.

I write quite a number of poems that are written from an imagined woman's standpoint. Don't think from my user name I have pinched it from a woman poet!
