Just a Moment Away
Standing on the darkened hill
Beneath the twilight sky.
There we were just you and I
And for a moment the world was still.
I could not remember how it was we got here
But for the moment I didn't care.
We did nothing at all but sit and stare
Into the heavens above in full revere.
This moment was silent
As we were alone with our dreams
Free to be ourselves in a place so serene.
A moment of catharsis defiant.
We came down from that hill in the blackest of night.
Free from our fears as our excitement we shared.
Of honest dreams and ambitions we no longer despaired.
Because inside of us we carried our own guiding light.
