My View of Sanity
I do it to be sane,
I do it to dull the pain,
I want to change.
But I cannot seem to mend these broken veins.
I do it feel pain,
Even though pain,
Makes me feel lame.
I have tried to stop,
Only to be told 'halt!'
For you see, it's my mind,
that cannot seem to unwind.
I try to unravel these twisted chains,
but it seems to be all in vain.
Self-mutilation is not a game, but
I continue to roll these dice.
It never seems to matter,
Knowing that every cut could be.
My last.
