prisoner of sorrow
I lay here in the darkness longing for your warmth.
Beside me the sheets are cold.
My lonesome heart screams in silent agony.
Can you hear it slowly dying?
Writhing and twisting with the pain you no longer need me.
Your sheets are warm with another to take my place, whilst i am left here tortured.
Solitary confinement with my mind my only company.
I'm unsure if it's a friend or foe.
I try to piece together the shards that are my shattered soul.
I bleed, as a fragment so sharp, pierces my despair.
My grief will be forever written in scars.
Infinite devastation shrouded in darkness.
Eternal anguish, the only path to follow.
I am a helpless prisoner of sorrow.
