I Never Wanted to be a Poet
(quick draft)
I'd rather have been
a muse
I'd rather be the bloodred
love full stroke on the canvas
than a plain old painter;
do you see
I'd prefer to be a shining
selfdestructing inside burning
drop in the sky
than a stargazer-
do you understand?
That I wanted to be the fire & the ice at the same time
and burn myself into a puddle
snow woman suicide heart
