Mother's Pride

 Footsteps echo
through halls and doors
attemption to not let go
I cling , I claw
languid moments pass
like watching growing grass
the thespian in me acts
like never seen before .

The screen
of black and white
silent screams
shrill out of fright
all it seems
is out of sight
won't you please
beat for my plight .

You and I
close by each side
aqua eyed
ocular might
yes we've cried
too many times
yet we fly
for mother's pride .
