Dissent

nothing is more subversive      
than the prying eye of the sun      
     pointing out the pleasantries of day      
to a numb monk      
     praying to catatonic nirvana      
       
only      
one disappointment away      
from being seduced      
by the soothing straight-jacket      
of insentience
       
but then  
the stinging intrigue of possibility      
prodded along by helio insurrection        
creeps in as a gentle breeze      
   
electrocuting the senses      
       
a      
single scent      
binded to memory      
birthing the rebel messiah      
of potential      
       
damned near cracked a smile      
     
it's    
going to be a long way back      
   
building enough momentum      
to stop caring      
       
again
