In the skies......
An outstretched arm,
My wretched smile,
This boarded up soul,
You couldn't pass,
Should you of stopped and asked?
My despair, mine alone,
Too much for me,
I admit it, "I know"
Sorry I told you to go.
No warmth, deprived of love,
Truth escaped, my heart did break,
Though it didn't show,
How were you to know?
Don't worry now,
It's much too late,
I cannot burden you with this,
For it's much to great.
I'm waiting in the promiseland,
There you'll find me,
Just me alone,
Halo intact,
You weren't expecting that.
For I gave up on life,
But not on you,
I wish I didn't,
Have to choose.
I want you to live,
But when you die,
Join me my darling,
Where we will prosper,
