Autumn Delights
The decaying bushes are sprinkled with fiery fuschia.
Amber coloured crinkly leaves smother
the narrow country lane.
I hope tonight I'll see a scarlet October sky as the brightest burning star sinks down, into the fluid horizon
slowly savouring saying goodbye.
The crispy coldness in the air turns my cheeks an apple red.
Autumn and her magical array of colours has arrived,
gracefully splashing the countryside
with indigo shadows.
Falling onto fields
And syrupy sunsets
bewitching burnt orange skies.
