Georgia Rain
Thick, suffocating heat
Hot – burning with desire
I welcome you like a summer breeze
I breathe you in.
Crisp, fresh scent mixed with sweat and dirt
Pheromones that make my body hurt
I want to taste you. I’m full of hunger and yearn
You’re my Southern Comfort - without the burn
I take you in –
Swallow you down as far as you’ll go
Tantalizing and tickling until you blow
Thick, slimy, salty – all for me
Like oysters from the deep blue sea
You touch me and I go insane
Hot juices flowing – like Georgia Rain.

There must be something going on in Georgia! Earlier today I read a poem about a Georgia Peach and now this!

Thank you. I didn't know if I could pull off this style and type of poem.
My poems are usually 4 stanzas with the 2nd and 4th rhyming. This was very different for me, but I felt it and went with it. I am glad I did.

Love this line. I haven't had Southern Comfort for a while but it used to be one of my favorite drinks.....before I discovered "smooth."
