Confused

I am so confused.
Who should I choose?
The love of my life,
or my soulmate to lose?

Confusion is such a pain.
Either one will bring me gain.
To hurt either one I will hurt myself
But I can't leave the other on the shelf.

One of them I love more than the other.
The other one is more like a brother.
Both I love and won't reject.
But one means more
that's who I'll select.

I am confused.
Who should I choose?
The love of my life,
or my soulmate to lose?

Not sure if it is just my mood, or the poems I am happening to read but it seems I can't look at a poem today without a song coming to mind. In this case "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" by Elton John fills my head.

Thanks so much. I'm glad it's that good to remind you of a song. Not sure if it's good enough to be inspirational to someone else but it's just about something I'm going through right now and I just felt like writing a poem. Whatever came into my head, I wrote.
