The question that needs an answer

I do not understand why you left
You told me love but we cannot be together
But you are the one who told me that love lasts forever
Now I am the one caught up in this confusion
What we had, was it real or just another illusion
You cannot tell me that it was just a spark
Because all those times we spent in the park
You told me every-time that what you felt for me was real
Now you tell me that the more time I spend not thinking about you will help me heal

So just answer this one question for me
Remember the time you told me that what we had could withstand even the worst storms
But like a piece of soft silk, it was easily torn
What do feel when you think about what we shared
Was I someone important to you
Or just another rag you would throw away when you are done
