Equations of the Closed Eyes Concluded
I.
Primordial soft domes with holes
slide from their thudding wonderland:
the exit becomes the curtained entrance
as the clear boat floats you
from warm sea tidal caves
to fresh-water chilly streams
that grips as it releases to an alien gaggle.
II.
Transparent orbs disperse on hardened brows
of bastards and orphans to substitute love
as dead Gods and ancient kings
linger on walls and in halls,
shaping the creation of sheltered dreams.
III.
Outside the comforts of watery faiths
we learn that rats can swim upstream, climb trees
and chew through your central nervous system
with plastic teeth in two-cogged gums.
You'll remember youth and its shut-eyed gloom
and how the thorny beards were the only threat.
IV.
Old scores settled with passive principles
and with the resolution of floating stones
we crawl and choke in cancerous smogs.
Await the primordial black's descent
and hope to have no fear.
V.
Wind, take the sail in search of the cave,
you will live or you will die on every day.
