Super Glue isn't too Super

Clinical adhesives
let me down
somehow
as the broke back opaque
paired with hand-me-downs

grew deeper into trails of thought
till snails of thought
left slime and made things opaque once again.

I'd like to see in audacity
not transparency
but in catastrophe
I’ll take familiarity

over the PVA of the debt crisis
or the prit-stick of childhood obesity

perhaps the super glue was always out of my league...

or is it these traits
condemnations of fate
that have made it fatigue
to something obscene?
