Let's play pretend
and fade to grey
journey to the shadow side
..For there is no more light to absorb
from a world that was long left spinning
Flow
and the memories embrace the present.
As I away
in raging oceans
that threaten to swallow me whole
and never again will the light catch my eyes
For i will know the emptiness of the waking dead.
who come to life to find that there is no tomorrow..
At the dawn
a spirit called to me
and i followed a voice whose colors had long since washed away.
We followed empty footprints across the golden globe
and i opened my eyes wide to see that we hadn't really seen.
our peripheral vision has long been set.
She whispered,
"Force the truth from the ruins of our hidden world
My heart will rest until then.."
I tried to hold on.
But doubt made my mind slip
and I fell into the encapturing darkness.
"Don't forget", she whispered
as our gaze was torn apart.
And I beckoned to the starlight to come down and claim the night..
and fade to grey
journey to the shadow side
..For there is no more light to absorb
from a world that was long left spinning
Flow
and the memories embrace the present.
As I away
