Paralyzed Pigeon

Haunted, hurt and afraid,
Tattered and torn,
Pretty delicate perfect wings?
Shredded, wasted and worn,

Eyes yet so innocent,
A face painted red,
Reveal to me your hidden expression,
Speak now before you're dead,

Abstract in so many ways,
I hopelessly try to read you,
Words, letters even numbers,
Pleading for the faintest clue,

Sing to me your song,
Scream your last wishes,
Whisper all your dreams,
And secret kisses,

Stained feathers,
A tired heart,
Weakened by the second,
With tearful eyes I watch you depart,

The shadow of death falls,
I lay you down to rest,
Upon creatures of the unknown I call,
Fly away my Paralyzed Pigeon
