I close the gap between her back and me,
Wrap arms around her and whisper 'boo'.
She turns herself around inside my arms,
Looks at me with eyes, light blue.
I pull her closer, squeeze her tight,
Murmur those pathetic three words,
She pulls away with a wink,
And the grin that upended my world.
I watch her walk away, with an over the shoulder kiss,
I give her a head start, before I go after her.
I stop when I hear the shower running,
Watch her outline shower.
That figure silhouetted, drives me near insane.
Something in her movements knows I'm watching,
A finger curls round the curtain, beckons me inside,
My ego gets a massage, as does my pride.
I smile to myself, leave her there to wait,
And then she leaves without a word,
In dreams, I missed my chance again.
She's gone, I'm awake, here all alone,
Yet again I lost her, and I feel all wrong.
Wrap arms around her and whisper 'boo'.
She turns herself around inside my arms,
Looks at me with eyes, light blue.
I pull her closer, squeeze her tight,
Murmur those pathetic three words,
She pulls away with a wink,
And the grin that upended my world.
I watch her walk away, with an over the shoulder kiss,
I give her a head start, before I go after her.
I stop when I hear the shower running,
Watch her outline shower.
That figure silhouetted, drives me near insane.
Something in her movements knows I'm watching,
A finger curls round the curtain, beckons me inside,
My ego gets a massage, as does my pride.
I smile to myself, leave her there to wait,
And then she leaves without a word,
In dreams, I missed my chance again.
She's gone, I'm awake, here all alone,
Yet again I lost her, and I feel all wrong.
