In The Garden
When you came into my life,
Everything was a mess
You brought me light,
Fought away my fears
But honey, you were planting seeds
Behind my back, you were saying things I never thought you would
You called me fake,
Said I was just an imitation
You called me a loser,
Said I'd never amount too much
Well, let's look at us
Check who's still standing, and shut your mouth
Oh, love
I'll bury all my resentment in the garden
I'll let you leave, and I'll mourn
I'll mourn you as if you've truly died
I'll keep all you secrets, like you never did with mine
Everything was a mess
You brought me light,
Fought away my fears
But honey, you were planting seeds
Behind my back, you were saying things I never thought you would
You called me fake,
Said I was just an imitation
You called me a loser,
Said I'd never amount too much
Well, let's look at us
Check who's still standing, and shut your mouth
Oh, love
I'll bury all my resentment in the garden
I'll let you leave, and I'll mourn
I'll mourn you as if you've truly died
I'll keep all you secrets, like you never did with mine
