Panic Attack

In, out, in, out!
Thump
thump, thump

A rush of silence floods your ears
A hush whimper escapes your lips
A flush of tears released from your eyes

In, out, in, out!
Thump
thump, thump

Struck by lightning your nerves go on lock down
Stricken by fear your muscles recoils into its self
Smashed by hopelessness your brain seizes itself

In, out, in, out!
Thump
thump, thump

With no hope or faith
You will meet your fate
Slowly you began to fade into that dark, deep unknown sea of despair

You no longer can breath In, out, in, out....
You no longer hear your own beating heart thump-thump, thump

In, out, in, out!
Thump
thump, thump

As time stops
You feel at peace yet alone
Then with out another thought
Gradually your beating heart begins to make itself know
Your lungs are able to take that much needed breathe
For your soul sees that beautiful guiding white light

In, out, in, out!
Thump
thump, thump

Your brain finally lets you back in, to take control once again
Muscles start to uncoil, and their pain becomes known
Your nerves begin to tremble and shake

In, out, in, out!
Thump
thump, thump

The river of tears you have shed dry upon your reddened cheeks
Your cries are quieted
And then harsh sounds around you flood your ears

In, out, in, out!
Thump
thump, thump

Slowly and painfully you become aware that this was just another one of your Panic Attacks.

In, out, in, out!
Thump
thump, thump
