The Raven of Night and Day
The mysterious raven watched as I walked down the street. Its beady black eyes sucking my soul so far away from me. I must not look but I cannot help it, it has beauty and grace as It flies through the air. Its long dark wings turn day into night. But as darkness creeps in the air, so much danger lurks around here. You can hear the raven screech as it perks out in its tree. Only this time the raven is white as can be. Though this time it’s impossible not to look away. The raven looks so familiar. That’s when the name hit me, it’s the raven of night and day. Though it doesn’t look like much, it’s so dangerous I think I might flee. But the gaze keeps my feet planted. Its beady black eyes telling me so many secrets and so many lies. It tells me the future and it tells me the past. It tells me to seek the questions I want to ask. And with that it tells me to leave and never come back. As I turn away and start my way back down the street. The raven speaks its last words to me. “Darling I’ve came to you because you’ve been hurt. Now I’ve told you everything. Now I must find somebody new, to speak the words of wisdom I have just spoken to you. So will me away, will me away. For it’s the only way. The only way you ask? Now that’s a secret nobody can keep.” I did as I was told and willed him away to find another poor lost soul. You might be wondering how I know. Since this is just a “story” to be told. Who knows maybe you’ll see the raven too.
