I See
As I look in its eyes I see a web full of lies. I see the darkness in its heart. I see the demon living inside. I see the secrets it hides, pulled in by the dark. I see how much blood shed to feel nothing at all. Just for a moment the eyes soften and sadness washes over its face. I see it has been taught no love only hate. As the creature’s eyes slowly lift back to mine, I get jolted awake. For the creature I see is just the reflection of me.
