Another goodbye

I'm the unsettled dust
With nowhere to belong
The uncomfortable gravel

Bottle my memory
Burn it if you must
Dispose of my essence 
Forget about "us".
I'll slip back away
Out of sight, out of mind

Let me disappear
And say goodbye for good
Not something I want to do
Just something I know I should.
Take the closure you have

Let amnesia sink in.
Our love was something for the ages

Oh how I read them
Over and over again
But it's time to move on
