Journey back to when it was fresh
Our first road trip thru Texas
The stage was set
For something special that night
From the warm hot tub
To the heavy moonlight
Looking to the sky
I know the time is now
I've had this urge before
But always chickened out
Fearless is where I need to be
I won't let this slip by
Because this is that story
Ill tell our kids at bedtime

Her touch was electric
Yet her embrace calming
Little did she know
I had already fallen
In a fraction of second I saw our life
This is what forever feels like
Clarity with purpose
Makes this moment worth it
She took my life by storm
But I was in a drought
It is here I let it all spill out
As visions of us
In my brain protrude
I told her the last thing
To complete the magic view
"I love you"

From then to now
The roads been rocky
Though we're broken
We're still solid
But how are we together
With so many problems
How's that magic still even possible?
This explanation may be unsure
Yet I sense it in its grandeur
Great love is imperfection
Struggle painful scary
In fact in its purest form
It is a Tragedy
Turmoil and deception
Squeezed between this coupling
Driving us apart
Like we were nothing
Yet somehow on the cusp
Of being shattered
This Great Love we have
Pushed away disaster
To find our hands
Were locked the whole time
Though the magic was lost
Our instincts are intertwined
The cataclysm of this vicious road
Has taken a major toll
Yet we're still standing?
Tragedy has now evolved to
Legendary.
