Thinly Veiled

I see you
Thinly veiled in my mind’s eye
Lurking on the outskirts of my desires
Closely hidden, secretly against my breast
With each rise of the sun and moon
You claw the recesses of my mind
Tearing at my fragile grip on propriety
How I want you so
To show you how wild the darkness can be
Temptations too delicious to refuse
Secrets ripe for the picking
I’d stand before you
My arms laden with these fruits
Tempting and sweet
Satisfaction for all your passions
I long to lay this banquet upon you
And burn you with the heat of my desire
Singe your flesh and scorch your soul
Thrust you to the greatest heights
Pluck a star from the heavens
And lay it before you
A token
A symbol of my love
