Sleepy Little Soldier.

Are you a paratrooper?
Jumping off the brick wall with a sheet tied to your back.
You grab your toy rifle and move about the yard.
And cautiously shooting the imaginary enemies.
After hours of this play, you lay your back against the grass.
And watch the red sky, then drift away.

Are you in command?
Painted your face and dressed in sharp, muddy gear.
You move about the forest yelling,
"On me troops!"
Though your troops are only imaginary.
After running around so much,
You rest your back against a tree.
Shutting your eyes and drifting into a dream land.

Are you the general?
With crayon, you drew 5 yellow stars on your baseball helmet.
Yelling at your troops through your radio.
Asleep on your bed, helmet still on your head.
Toy rifle hugged in your arms.
Sleepy little soldier.
