Peaceful Separation
Days when we met on the rotten paths of life
Are gone; when we chose to walk a mile.
When we walked hand in hand;
And exchanged those friendship bands.
When I felt safe in your arms;
Never bothered by any alarm.
When you spent hours and hours;
Talking of cricket match and racing cars.
Days when we left the crafty world behind
Are gone; when we sneaked out feigning them blind.
When we heard their doltish talk;
And laughed as they walked.
When I looked in your eyes;
To pick the colors of life.
When you adjusted your twisted curls;
Innocently shying away from girls.
Days when we cared for each other
Are gone; when we shared our troubles.
When we listened our hearts with patience;
And soothed them with the balm of relation.
When I oathed to be there forever;
To fight against the world's terror.
When you promised to brighten my life;
Collecting stars on a sky-ride.
Days when we fought over a trifle
Are gone; when we realized this cycle.
When we found that we were no different;
From those who say nothing is permanent.
When I realized that same swing in you;
Making a hell-bound journey due.
When you decided to recede at last;
Much maligned than I ever thought.
The day when you waved a goodbye after long meditation
Is gone; with a peaceful separation.
Are gone; when we chose to walk a mile.
When we walked hand in hand;
And exchanged those friendship bands.
When I felt safe in your arms;
Never bothered by any alarm.
When you spent hours and hours;
Talking of cricket match and racing cars.
