Is Love Really going to Fix Everything?
Someone once said
love makes it all better.
But how often is that right?
How often is love not just another pain,
something that keeps you up?
How often?
How often will we be happy
even through the pain?
How many people can feel
When they know pain is just the beggining?
When was the last time he said he loves you?
When did he call your name
Using his special name for you
and asking you to stay
in that single word?
When was the last time you fell asleep
Not wanting more?
When was the last good day?
Pain has wrapped his arms around you
And you are now stuck to each other.
Not even able to pull apart
for a breath of fresh air.
You miss your freedom
He misses the strips.
I miss talking
like we used to.
Not hearing about how bad it is for you.
But you can't leave.
Pain has grabbed you
and you have to stay.
When was your last good day?
love makes it all better.
But how often is that right?
How often is love not just another pain,
something that keeps you up?
How often?
How often will we be happy
even through the pain?
How many people can feel
When they know pain is just the beggining?
When was the last time he said he loves you?
When did he call your name
Using his special name for you
and asking you to stay
in that single word?
When was the last time you fell asleep
Not wanting more?
When was the last good day?
Pain has wrapped his arms around you
And you are now stuck to each other.
Not even able to pull apart
for a breath of fresh air.
You miss your freedom
He misses the strips.
I miss talking
like we used to.
Not hearing about how bad it is for you.
But you can't leave.
Pain has grabbed you
and you have to stay.
When was your last good day?
