Pont-Y-Blew
We came here when we first met
Where the two rivers meet
Our lives were bound together then
Now we never speak
We walked hand in hand then
Soft kisses on the bench
Losing Gorse in the long grass
Lost in each others embrace
It is such a beautiful spot here
So peaceful and so calm
I never want to leave
Return to a loveless life
We were at one then
Where did all that loving go?
Tried too hard to hold you
When I should have let you go
The river runs its merry way
Off to some far off sea
And as we carry on living
I am left wondering what would have been
We came here when we first met
Where the two rivers meet
Our lives were bound together then
Now we never speak
Where the two rivers meet
Our lives were bound together then
Now we never speak
We walked hand in hand then
Soft kisses on the bench
Losing Gorse in the long grass
Lost in each others embrace
It is such a beautiful spot here
So peaceful and so calm
I never want to leave
Return to a loveless life
We were at one then
Where did all that loving go?
Tried too hard to hold you
When I should have let you go
The river runs its merry way
Off to some far off sea
And as we carry on living
I am left wondering what would have been
We came here when we first met
Where the two rivers meet
Our lives were bound together then
Now we never speak
