Everything She Didn't Want
Everything she didn't want
But everything she asked for
Happy tears from a saddened song
short verses felt so long
Took too long to go so fast
How long can the madness that carried this tune last?
Standing behind a sheer curtain
familiar strangers eyes peer in
questioning the answers they already know
while she wonders does the hidden show
The music plays in silence
while the off beat life dances
in the shadows that the light plays with.
As the tears of rain begin to fall
creating puddles all around
she begins to reveal the hidden
steps from behind the curtain
and as hard as it may be
she closes her eyes so she can see
to walk through the heavy sheer curtain
to be where she should begin

I can't pretent to understand every line but I like this one. The wording, the "feeling"... well done!

Every poem means something different to every reader and that's the beauty. You take what you can relate to and go with it as with the previous reader. Common ground on different levels. Take this for example.....a girl gets with a guy that adores her, would do anything for her, thinks she's beautiful no matter what, would wait on her hands and foot and that's what she's been asking for for so long but the guy becomes obsessed with her, stalks her, follows her, keeps her secluded. He was everything she asked for but nothing she wanted.
